Working on choice board assignments

Hi, I'm Cynthia Niles.  This is my eighth year of teaching at St. Mary's School and my sixth year as Vice Principal.

I have a BA from SUNY Potsdam in Psychology and Elementary Education.  My Masters degree in Reading was also obtained from SUNY Potsdam.   I have also been involved in the St. Lawrence County Math Partnership for two years as Lead Teacher.

Homework Policy:  Homework will be given on a daily basis but not always in the same subject.  There is a penalty of five points for each day a homework assignment is late.  This does not include homework assignments that are late due to an absence.  Homework assignments must be written on loose leaf notebook paper.  Our school policy, according to the school handbook, is that the length of time for students in grade five that should be allotted for homework is forty minutes.  Also included in our school policy is that students do not receive homework on weekends or vacations.
